Claire L. Timbas, DVM
Though much of her veterinary career has kept her in New England, Dr. Timbas is actually a native of New Jersey. She brought over ten years of professional experience to Queen City when she joined the staff as in December of 2004. After earning her B.A. from Cornell University with distinction in Biology and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Timbas remained in New England, practicing veterinary medicine at three other animal hospitals from 1992-2004.
A general veterinary practitioner at Queen City Animal Hospital, Dr. Timbas has professional interests in zoonotic diseases, public health, exotics species and geriatric medicine. Dr. Timbas is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Hampshire Veterinary Medical Association as well as the U.S. Tennis Association, Mt. Sunapee Ski Club, U.S. Triathlon Association and the South Newbury Union Church.
Away from her responsibilities at the animal hospital, Dr. Timbas enjoys "anything outdoors." Some of her interests include playing tennis, competing in triathlons, sailing and scuba diving. She also enjoys spending as much time as she can with her pets. They include a Labrador retriever, a pug named Sadie, and 1 cat.
